Membership Committee (Alan Siverls & Rita Jordan Co-Chairs) is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase the number of NSN Detroit Chapter members.
Program Committee (Chad Gibbs, Chairperson) is responsible for planning and executing the various programs of the organization including workshops, seminars, speaker engagements, discussion panels, and network affairs.
Marketing Committee (Freda Crawley, Chairperson) is accountable for marketing the organization to the public.  This includes press releases, flyers, internal communication or any other materials and /or methods used to promote the organization.
Annual Conference Committee (Sharon Seaward, Chairperson) is responsible for the local chapter's contribution to, participation and attendance at the NSN Annual Conference.
Finance Committee (Themile Bush, Chairperson) is responsible for raising money for the organization and ensuring we have capital with which to operate.
Mentoring Committee (Candace May, Chairperson) is responsible for developing and implementing NSN's effort to cultivate relationship internally (between members) and externally (between organization members and the community)

We encourage new members to seek positions on one or more of the committees. Not only will the dedication of time and effort benefit the organization, but also will allow you to assess and improve such critical skills as organization, communication, the ability to work on a team and generally allow you to help chart the direction of the organization.
